Convergence – Summer Exhibit

Thank you to everyone who submitted work or encouraged others to submit! We are pleased to announce that we have received and accepted over 100 submissions from over 40 local artists.
The Convergence exhibition will open on Thursday July 18th from 6 – 8 PM and will run until August 23rd. To see this collection of stunning work, please stop in during Gallery on Gazebo’s regular hours (Tues – Sat 11 AM – 4 PM) between these dates.
Call to Artists for Submissions
Hello, Artists!
You are invited to submit work to be exhibited at Johnstown’s Gallery On Gazebo located at 140 Gazebo Park, Johnstown, PA 15901 (directly behind the Gazebo in Central Park).
What’s Convergence? The first annual Convergence of artists on display at the Gallery. The goal is to connect with artists whose work we have not exhibited before and to help connect them with each other and the community.
Who is eligible? Any visual artist 18 years and older (painting, sculpting, drawing, mixed media, photography, etc.)
What can you submit? You may submit up to 3 pieces to this exhibition. All work must be your original designs, not completed under instruction.
Artwork should be presented as ready for display and sale; it does not need to be framed. Consideration and instructions/materials for a professional presentation should be included.

If the artist would like to have a written explanation/artist statement shown with the submitted work, please include a printed version with the submission. The space is not large, larger scale work (over 3 ft in any dimension) will be considered, but smaller works are more desirable.
To submit, please fill out this form and attach it to the back of each artwork.
The deadline to submit must be received by Saturday, July 6th from 11 AM-4 PM at the Gallery. You may drop off submissions at an earlier date by appointment during our regular business hours, Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 AM-4 PM or by making other arrangements with the Gallery at (814) 539-4345 or info@galleryongazebo.org. Any work not accepted by the selection committee and not picked up between July 16th and 17th from 11 AM-4 PM will become the property of Gallery on Gazebo, unless other arrangements are made.
There will be no insurance carried on any of the work, you will be exhibiting at your own risk.
All items will be available for sale if you choose. The Gallery will keep 25% of each sale.
Only one NFS (not for sale) item allowed per artist.
All work will be subject to the selection committee’s decisions based on the size and number of works delivered, and the cohesiveness of the exhibit.
The Convergence exhibition will run from Thursday, July 18th-Friday, August 23rd.
