The State of ARTificial
Join us for a revealing look at the state of artificial intelligence and how this amazing and rapidly advancing technology is impacting the world of ART.
Dr. Mark DiMauro, assistant professor of digital humanities at Pitt Johnstown, will explain how AI image tools work and exactly what is happening when you press “Generate Image.” He’ll provide an overview of some popular AI image software now easily available to anyone, and he’ll review the legal requirements of this technology, as well as the moral and ethical implications of creating art with AI.
Dr. DiMauro comments, “I’ll showcase some AI art, and I’ll also have a few pieces and question who actually made them.” The event will conclude with a group roundtable discussion on the use of AI in personal and professional use of AI generated art.
