Painting in the Park

Join us Saturdays this summer for Plein Air Painting in Johnstown’s lovely Central Park. You’re invited to become part of a congenial group of local artists working in various styles and mediums, depicting everything from trees, flowers, buildings and people, to abstract moods and feelings. No lessons, no stress, all ages and abilities are welcome. There is no admission charge. Please bring your own supplies and refreshments. Newbies are encouraged to join the group. If you need supplies, you can purchase an Art Grab Bag Kit for just $2 at the Gallery. These contain an 8×10 drawing surface and pre-selected supplies. 

Artists gather downtown at the Gallery beginning at about 10 AM each Saturday of the summer, from June 7th through August 30, 2025. They then set up and paint across the street in the Park, or in case of inclement weather, they may work inside in the Gallery until about 2pm. Water and restrooms are available in the Gallery.
