Free and Fun Workshop for Kids, second grade and up, with Dr. Eric Schwerer of Pitt Johnstown.
Short lesson on the shape and purpose of a Haiku, followed by some kid brainstorming on topics of growth and change. Then – weather permitting, our group will go outside to Central Park or stay inside the Gallery, as kids get to work writing their own haiku, with much drawing and doodling encouraged. All supplies will be provided.
Finished poems may be displayed at the Gallery or taken home to share with family and friends. This event is free to attend and open to the entire community!
