Coming June 1st to Gallery on Gazebo, Gazebo Place, Johnstown, a live performance of an extraordinary Afrika Yetu- West African Dance and Drum Ensemble!
Yetu is a Swahili word for “ours.” It references Afrika Yetu’s mission of serving its community, and of connecting African immigrants with the American community.
Two decades ago, the Afrika Yetu organization was music-centric, but today, it provides a variety of Afro-centric cultural and educational programming and services for people of all ages and races. Afrika Yetu serves communities locally, nationally, and internationally.
