A Preview of Coming Attractions
at Gallery on Gazebo

We are excited to announce that coffee, tea, sweet beverages and tasty snacks will be back at the Gallery starting weekends in June. Hooded Wonder Records & Coffee is setting up now in the front of the Gallery and is excited to be part of the downtown Johnstown community. More details will be coming soon!

Downtown on Wheels (aka bicycle rentals and guided tours of our historic town) is another exciting new venture upcoming to the Gallery. We received a Lee Health and Wellness Endowment grant to help with expenses and the purchase of bikes in various sizes. Our volunteer guides are currently working on tour routes. The plan is that all tours will start in the downtown with different routes then moving outward to explore nearby bike-friendly attractions, such as Sandyvale Cemetery or The Center for Metal Arts. We think this initiative will bring a whole new dimension of fun to our home town. Watch for more info!

Sunday on the Square will be back on August 1. This is our signature event in Johnstown’s Central Park, featuring a wide array of tasty specialties from numerous local restaurants, live music by talented performers in the Gazebo, wondering magicians, Victorian costumed guests and much more. It is a most enjoyable Sunday afternoon in our beloved Central Park. Tickets on sale soon. Please plan to be there!

Also happening this summer will be the Grand Opening of our Gallery Piazza. Our “G” swinging gates are now in place. Lighting and some cosmetic improvements are in progress. Flowers and and greenery expected to be planted this week or next. We are using the talents of SEADS for this. SEADS is short for “Sustainable Employment for Adults with Disabilities.” The SEADS Garden Center, which opened at the site of the former Grandview Garden Center in Westmont, gives special needs adults the opportunity to have meaningful and sustainable employment. More info on the Piazza Grand Opening will be coming soon.

We also have a number of special events this summer, including an expanded Sip and Savor Evening Music Series, a FREE Speaker Series for Kids and Adults, and a return of our extremely popular Architectural Tours, researched and led by Andy Fedore. Our past guests have loved the opportunity to explore so many of Johnstown’s historic buildings and architectural treasures. We hope you will join us! We’ll keep you posted on dates and times!
