Open for Blooming
An Outdoor Garden Experience
Choose Live and Socially Distanced
or On-Line Virtual
Please join us Saturday, June 13, as we celebrate nature, the outdoors, a spectacular Garden and, most important, all of us who have weathered a period of time like none other.
If you are Open for Blooming, you may choose a live in-person experience or a virtual event, both centered around an exquisite residential garden at the home of Ray and Chris Jacob on Luzerne Street Extension in Westmont. We’ll have live and on-line tours both with wonderful food packaged for take-away and ready for curbside pick-up by our virtual visitors.
Our Open for Blooming Garden Tour will be offered on-line for those who choose the virtual event. For live participants, we will be socially distancing on live walking tours guided by a team of three friendly and knowledgeable garden experts. We are offering a choice of four start times for the live tours:
5:30 PM 6:15 PM 7:00 PM 7:45 PM
Live guests will be asked to choose their preferred tour start time when they register for the live event.
In addition to exploring our lovely garden, we will have:
- John Bagnato and Laurel Steinly entertaining with classical guitar and improv dancing, also on video.
- A Silent Auction, actual and on-line, featuring awesome Art for your Garden and certificates for lawn service.
- Wine Tasting Experience from Three Barrel Wine Club to be served live with Wine Pairing video for our virtual participants.
- Flair of Country dinner featuring Whiskey-Marinated Pork Tenderloin, Garlic Lime Grilled Chicken Breast and Thighs, Grilled Vegetables and Berry Salad. We will be offering curbside pickup, with limited home delivery by request.
The evening is designed to follow COVID regulations, yet respect the personal wishes of our guests. Live visitors are invited to dress for the Garden simply casual, or perhaps as a Southern Belle, a groundskeeper or maybe a worker bee. Remember comfortable shoes and colorful masks.
Donation for Open for Blooming is $50/each all inclusive, to benefit the continuing development of the Piazza at Gallery on Gazebo, Downtown’s next great outdoor space. Reservation entitles you to the on-line tour of the Garden, wine-pairing demo and tasting, Flair of Country take-away dinner, music and more. The Silent Auction will be posted online for all prior to the event.
